The fair-play details

2026 contest rules

A unique guess. A final number. A fair chance in your group.

What you’re guessing

The last sequentially issued St Johnsville EMS run number for 2026. This is the final issued number, not a separate count of transports, completed calls, or patient contacts. The official result is entered manually by the administrator after the year ends.

One person, one final entry

Register with your name and email, select employee or community, and verify control of your email before submitting. Each person may hold only one entry across both groups. Duplicate accounts or entries are grounds for disqualification. Email verification proves control of that address, not identity.

Choose one positive whole number. Every accepted number must be unique across all groups, including managers. You must confirm your guess before it is saved. Once accepted, it cannot be edited. Other participants cannot see your name or guess. Disqualified and deactivated entries remain recorded, and their numbers remain reserved.

Employee eligibility

All staff except managers may compete for employee prizes. Employee registration requires manual approval. You may submit while approval is pending, but a pending entry cannot win. You must still be employed when employee results are reviewed.

If employment ends before results are reviewed, the account is disqualified from the contest entirely. It cannot transfer to the community group. Managers may enter for fun; they are excluded from both prize groups, and their accepted numbers remain reserved.

Opening & deadline

The administrator explicitly opens registration and entries. Entries close at Nov 01, 2026 at 12:00 AM EDT (America/New_York). For the real 2026 contest, that is the end of October 31, 2026. Submissions at or after the closing time are rejected. Participants can continue signing in afterward to see their own entry and updates.

How winners are selected

Within each prize group, the eligible participant with the highest guess that does not exceed the official final number wins. An exact match ranks first. If every eligible guess in a group exceeds the final number, that group has no winner. There is no over-the-total fallback.

One winner per group is advertised. Employee prizes will be larger. Prize details will be announced. Additional prizes may be awarded at the administrator’s discretion; they are not promised.

Results are published only after administrator review. Selected winners have seven days after notification to respond. If a winner does not respond, the next eligible participant in the same group may be selected. If there are no eligible backups, no replacement is selected.

Milestones & privacy

Optional milestone updates may be posted; no fixed schedule is promised. Administrators can access entries to run the contest, investigate duplicates, and review eligibility. Only published prize recipients’ names and the official result are public; other entries and email addresses stay private.
